How many solar power plants will emerge in Côte d'Ivoire?

Powers of Africa Côte d'Ivoire. 12 photovoltaic solar power plants will emerge between 2025 and 2026. The Ivorian Minister of Mines, Petroleum, and Energy, Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly, announced the construction of 12 new photovoltaic solar power plants across the country between 2025 and 2026.

Located in Boundiali in the north of the country, the plant has already been providing up to 37MW of power since June 2023.

"We also endeavoured to create employment for the local population," emphasises KfW Project Manager Clara Winkler-Tomety. During the construction phase, 75% of the workers came from the region.
